2012학년도 봄학기 수강신청 관련사항 안내
2012학년도 봄학기 개설교과목에 대한 수강신청 방법 및 절차에 대해 아래와 같이 안내합니다.
(정원 제한이 있는 과목의 수강신청 ▶ 정원초과자 신청제한에서 전산추첨으로 변경)

1. 수강신청 기간 : 2011. 11. 28(월) ～ 12. 2(금)
<1차> 11. 28(월) ▶수강정원 제한 없이 모든 과목 수강신청 가능(시작일 12 : 30~ 23 : 59까지)
11. 30(수) 11:00시 이전에 수강 확정자 발표
▶수강정원을 초과한 과목에 대하여 전산으로 선별작업 및 수강 확정자 발표
(Portal에 게재 예정)
<2차> 11월 30일(수) 12:30~12월 2일(금) 23:59까지 (잔여과목에 대한 수강신청)
2. 신청방법 : KAIPA로 수강신청 가능.
* KAIPA 로그인 시 기존 Portal ID에서 KAIST E-mail ID, PW로 변경(E-mail ID가 없는 학생은
가입 후(http://mail.kaist.ac.kr) KAIPA에 접속 가능, 문의처 : 5276, 2134)
3. 시스템 개방시간 :
<1차> : 11월 28일(월) ▶시작일 12 : 30부터 당일 23 : 59까지
※ 11월 30(수) 11:00시 이전에 수강 확정자 발표
<2차> : 11월 30일(수) 12:30~12월 02일(금) 23:59까지(잔여과목에 대한 수강신청)
4. 수강신청 장소 : Web이 실행되는 모든 곳
5. 수강신청 절차
(1) 수강예정과목 선정

◦ 홈페이지 (http://www.kaist.ac.kr) ⇒ 대학/대학원 ⇒ 개설교과목
(2) Web 수강신청 : http://kaipa.kaist.ac.kr
(3) 신청완료 후 신청내역 Hard copy 출력
(4) Hard copy한 인쇄용지를 지도교수의 승인을 받아 학과/전공 사무실에 제출
(무학과 학생은 학적팀에 제출)
6. 대상 : 재학생(학․석․박사과정)

가. 2012학년도 봄학기 강의시간표(학과/전공별 개강과목)는 아래 주소에서 확인할 수 있음.

나. 2012학년도 봄학기 중간 및 기말고사의 시험시간표는 신규 수업“Time Slot"편성표에 의거
강의시간에 대응하여 시험실시 요일 및 시간대를 지정․편성하였으니 참고하시기 바람.
다. 1차 수강 확정자(수강정원 초과과목)는 수강신청기간 내에 취소 할 수 없음.
(단, 수강변경 기간에는 자유롭게 변경 및 취소가 가능 함).
Registration Guide for the 2012 Spring Semester
2012 spring semester registration procedure and methods are as follows:
(Improvement - change from previous limitation of registration to random electronic selection - made to the registration procedure for courses with enrollment ceilings.)
1. Registration period : Nov 28, 2011 (Mon) ～ Dec 2 (Fri)
<1st period> Nov 28 (Mon) ▶Open enrollment without ceilings for all the courses
(from 12 : 30 to 23: 59 on Nov 28 )
※ Nov 29 (Tue) : No registration is possible
▶Students will be randomly selected for the courses that exceed their enrollment
ceilings; final student lists for the courses will be announced before 11:00 on
Nov 30 (Wed).(on portal)
<2nd period> 12:30 on Nov 30(Wed) ~ 23:59 on Dec 2(Fri)
(Students may register for the remaining courses)
2. Use: KAIPA
* Use KAIST E-mail ID and PW, log in KAIPA
(If you do not have KAIST E-mail ID, join KAIST E-mail website(http://mail.kaist.ac.kr),
Please call at 5276, 2134 for any problems)
3. The system opens :
<1st> from 12:30 to 23 : 59 on Nov 28(Mon)
※Final student lists for the courses will be announced before 11:00 on Nov 30 (Wed).
<2nd> from 12:30 on Nov 30(Wed) to 23:59 on Dec 2(Fri)
(Students may register for the remaining courses)

5. Registration procedure
(1) Choose classes from the lists
◦ (http://kaipa.kaist.ac.kr) ⇒ Opening courses
◦ (http://www.kaist.ac.kr) ⇒ Academic ⇒ Course search
(2) Web registration : http://kaipa.kaist.ac.kr
(3) Print out the completed registration form
(4) Obtain guidance professor's signature and submit the form to the Department/Division
Office (Students under the undeclared major system should submit the form to the
Academic Registrar's Team)
6. Registration is open for all current students (Undergraduates, Master's and Ph.D. students)

A. 2012 spring semester course schedule (Courses offered by Department/Division) can be

B. Mid term and final exams for the 2012 spring semester will be scheduled according to the
new “Time Slot" course table: exam dates and times are arranged based on the course
schedule.
C. Students included in the final lists (of the courses exceed their enrollment ceilings) can not
cancel the courses during the registration period.
(However, during the Add/drop period, students may change or cancel their classes.)
